OMG! Rob Pattinson is worth every penny (P350 to be exact) to watch. Such an eye candy! Err… I’m afraid that’s about it. I did warn you that it’s just a short review, didn’t I?

Okay, let’s go down memory lane first for you to understand why I can’t say more. I remember very vividly when I was still on medical leave because of my difficult pregnancy, one of my best friends She a.k.a. Sasha texted me excitedly and told me to read the Twilight Series. She said that I would really like it a lot; she was wrong because I fell in love with it, every bit of it. I loved how Stephenie Meyer weaved a beautiful vampire love story with so many wonderful twist and turns. It was a totally different reading experience for me. Twilight became a part of me. The reason that I did not bother watching any interviews or any videos related to Twilight at first was because they (the characters in my mind) will be less and less real. And I did not want to believe that they are just figments of Stephenie Meyer’s brilliant imagination. To me they were real as in tangible real. But since my best friend She sounded really convincing, I watched some of their videos and interviews few days before our scheduled movie day and I must say that I was bedazzled by Rob’s charm. He’s the type of person that when he speaks, the world falls at his feet. I had the OCS (Obsessive Cullen Syndrome) for months. So need I say that excitement was an understatement to what I felt as the days got nearer and nearer to our movie day? I guess not. We even had our own countdown She, Shen (one of our best friends too since high school) and I. Though She already warned me not to expect too much and to be ready for the movie version of our fave book, my foolhardiness got the better of me and I still expected for it to be good at least. So, I had the shock of my life when the film started rolling and scenes that were not even in the book unfolded before my very eyes! WTH! Heck, I mean. We don’t use swear words in our household. I was dumbfounded with mouth agape (for dramatic effect that is). It wasn’t just slightly different from the book it was totally and almost hilariously different to the point of it being so absurd already! Every time I see a supposedly beautiful scene that was brutally altered, I can’t help but sigh and click my tongue. I was sighing and clicking my tongue for two hours (out of great frustration) and She (the one person I know who finds humor in almost everything) has been laughing her head off and almost fell from her chair because of my reactions. Thanks to her because Shen and I found solace in her laughter. It was contagious.

I can forgive the director and producers for not even bothering to check if the characters make-up were A-okay (they sometimes look as if they’ve been dipped into flour) or if Bella is in cast isnt’ she supposed to be limping? Because she’s the fastest walker that I’ve ever seen who’s supposed to be JUST recuperating from a broken leg. But I could never forgive them for trashing no that’s a mild word to use, for slaughtering and breaking an exceptional love story into a thousand shards. You could not even relate to it anymore because it’s like it has been ripped off from a totally different book. When She said that it was rewritten many times to fit the book into a movie, I didn’t know that it would be like written by a completely different writer already! I’m telling you when it comes to character assassination, the director and producers of Twilight, take the cake. But I won’t even dare take a bite.
