A Chronicler's Life

Money Talk

My Uncle Jon (Mom’s half bro) came back home after being in the States for more than 20 years. He was so happy to see us. He brought us a lot of presents and stories of his life there. But of course I concentrated more on the beautiful gifts he got us, ha! ha! ;-) I overheard him talking to my Mom about Transunion Settlement. I thought it was another case of inheritance money but from what I have heard it was about a credit reporting company in the 80s that traded classified credit information to marketing companies in the US. And since he is an American Citizen already and he applied credit within the time of 1987 to 2000, he is entitled to monetary damages from a pre-determined 75 million fund! Wow! That’s a lot, if we are already talking about millions of dollars here, right? I even had a hard time doing the math in my head. Of course my Uncle refused to count the chicks before the eggs hatch. It is a long process but he is confident that his lawyers at O’Hanlon, McCollom & Demerath will give justice to the injustice that was done to him decades ago. And I pray for that too.
