My cousin’s car has been with him for probably 6 years now. It was his first car, and he bought it from a friend. The car, though second hand, never gave him too much trouble. Besides, from a few flat tires from time to time, it was safe to say that it is in tiptop shape. Until recently, his exhaust systems had been acting up. It kept on belching out black smoke and it makes unpleasant noises. It seems that wear and tear finally caught up. He has taken his car to a mechanic for a look, to see if it can be fixed.
I could tell my cousin misses his trusty old car from the way talks about it. He even refers to it as if it were a person, often referring to it as a she. I can understand how he could be so attached to his car. It has always been reliable, and he never met any accident during the time he used it. It’s a good car. But I just find it funny how he treats it like his girlfriend. I mean really, he needs to date a real girl soon, or I fear he’ll marry his car.

Hahaha! I know how it feels – my husband treats our car like a precious pet
hahaha! Funny, our car’s name is “Kakak” derived from how our one year old daughter used to imitate the sound of the alarm when the doors get locked. Thus “Kakak!” From then on, we called it as is.
Miss you mare!
