Modern Day Romeo and Juliet
My newlywed friends Joe and Miranda are looking for a place to live in. Can you believe that at their age of 32 and 30 they have eloped? Well, that is because their parents don’t want them to end up together. They want different partners for them. Well, feeling like star-crossed lovers, they ran away and got married like “You and Me against the World.” I salute them for fighting for their love. And now they are looking for a love nest where they will build their own family. They are seriously considering Outer Banks rentals in the meantime that their families are stark mad with what they did. I’m sure that the grandparents won’t be able to resist their cute little grandchild when it finally comes into this world. Time heals all wounds. And I believe that they will be able to find it in their hearts to forgive Joe and Miranda someday. Kudos to you modern day Romeo and Juliet!

Congrats and good luck to your friends. At their ages I’m sure they know what they want. How silly/stupid of their families to be such a burden.
My parents eloped and were happily married for almost 62 years. I say almost 62 years, because sadly Mom died just before their 62 anniversary. I think eloping is very romantic.
