Password Glitch
I had fitful nights these past few days, after knowing the reason why you might think that it was just petty but believe me it wasn’t for me. A few weeks ago I’ve changed my computer’s password, I made sure to note down my new password so I won’t have any problems remembering it. You see my hubby made me the administrator so it’s imperative that I always have to have my password at hand. Good thing that hubby created his own profile too without any password yet at that time because 3 days ago I can’t get in my profile all of a sudden using my new password. I didn’t understand why because I was 100% sure that I wrote it down properly and correctly the first time. I was so frustrated, thinking that I’ve got rather very important files in my desktop that I failed to transfer to any of my drives. I thought that I will never ever gain access to my bookmarked sites and that I will never be able to download anything because it would always ask for the admin’s password. I racked my brains and tried a thousand combinations of the password I wrote down, tried putting special characters too but nothing happened. I just can’t believe that I might have jotted down the password incorrectly. I would toss and turn at night trying to remember but all was futile. My last resort was to surf the net and look for password recovery tools. I’ve started searching at 9 p.m. of Wednesday and around 1 a.m. of Thursday after burning those password recovery tools in the various CD’s that I have, I began the endless trial and error tinkering with my laptop. Finally at around 5:30 a.m., I decided to stop trying and take my much needed rest because I still have to go to my daughter’s check-up at 11 a.m. of that same day. The next day I took a leave from work because my daughter developed fever brought about by her vaccine. Every time she would fall asleep, I would begin trying again and again and again but had no luck with it. At night time my brother in-law who’s got a background with computers, decided to take the burden from me and tried the different password recovery tools that I’ve got. And I was so happy because even though he wasn’t able to retrieve the password and prove that the computer was wrong and I was right, he was able to delete the pesky password that’s why I was able to log-in to my profile again by leaving the password field blank! It was like Christmas all over again! I’ve created another one and did not only double or triple checked it but made sure that I’m writing down the correct password 10 times! But there’s a huge price that I’ve got to pay for all the broken sleeps, humongous eye bags! I am just thankful that I always have my ever trusted eye cream with me, and in no time I had young looking eyes again in time for hubby’s birthday.
