A Chronicler's Life

Quality Time

I often hear people particularly working parents that it’s not about the quantity of time that you spend with your children that’s important, it’s the quality. I can totally relate to this since I’m a working mom. I feel so guilty most of the time because I get to spend just an hour a day with my daughter and that is before her bed time. I spend extended hours in the office and when I come home, it’s so late already that I won’t have the time and the energy to play with her for too long. And besides my darling baby is tired already from horsing around all day so she doesn’t have the patience to stay long in any game that I’ll be concocting for that night.

Even if I’m what I call myself a “one hour” mom I make it appoint that, that limited amount of time will be special for both of us. I play with her, read her stories, we pray together, kiss her good night almost endlessly and throw her a million flying kisses just before I step out of the room and turn her night light on. Sometimes I just feel like not going to work at all and just spend every wakeful and wake less moment of my life with her. But of course that’s out of the question because I care so much for her future that’s why I’m working very hard in the first place.

Good thing that I was given a 3 day vacation this Holy Week and I am glad to hear from a friend of mine that Family Vacations are best spent at Azul Sensatori Hotel. A lot of activities that involve the entire family are being offered, from flying kites in the afternoon breezes off the beach to toasting marshmallows and hotdogs around a bonfire. Name it and they have it. I will never miss this opportunity to bond with my family and my beloved daughter most especially. So this season of relaxation and taking it easy Azul Sensatori Hotel tops my list.
