Who's Next?
A couple of weeks ago we received a sad news at work because 50 of our colleagues in the other branch got sacked. Reason? Redundancy. According to the management, they were overmanned that’s why they needed to lay-off some of the employees. News spread like wildfire that morning and the grapevine says that some of us will get the boot too in the succeeding weeks. I’m sure that you can imagine the stress and pressure we are feeling right now. We are scared out of our wits every single day that we go to work is like on a death row and asking each other “Who’s next?”. That’s why some of us are already preparing their business resumes. It’s better to be ready and plan ahead just in case the inevitable happens. I, on the other hand just leave it all up to God.
