A Chronicler's Life

Panacea For My Maladies

Posted by Joshua at 11:19 pm

As they always say, for every cloud there’s a silver lining. And here’s the universal remedy for all my aches:

Sophie's 6th month

"What's that weird looking thing on top of my cake?"

My baby doll turned 6 months last January 10. Her dad and I were onĀ  a natural high seeing her all so big and healthy as well.

"Hmmnn...this cake looks a little bit funny."

"Hmmnn...this cake looks a little bit funny."

Sophie scrutinizing the cake and wondering what’s that on top of it.

"Perhaps if I'll look at it a lot more closer maybe I'll find out what it is."

It’s the first time that Sophie had a cake with a very noticeable topping. This is Red Ribbon’s Chocolate Marjolaine. It’s sooo delectable! Layers of meringue wafers filled with praline cream, topped with rich chocolate, roasted cashews and a tower of premium chocolate, what more can you ask for. She just can’t simply take her eyes off the yummy chocolate tower. My baby seems to have a sweet tooth though she doesn’t have any yet.

"Done with my inspection. I'm ready for posing now."

This is Sophia Louise our only child. We fondly call her Sophie. She’s my reason for living and breathing. The reason that my life is still worth living amidst all the pain. She’s the panacea for my maladies. A smile from her is all it takes for me to dream all my worries away.
