Although I am still on maternity leave, I still get updates on the goings on in the office. There is this shift bidding thing wherein the top performers are given the privilege to choose from forecast schedules. My friend got the second rank and she won a bid for the schedule that she wants only to get frustrated in the end because the preferred schedule was not followed. The reason, it is overriding of the workforce policy. And she is so frustrated. I wish that the workforce management team would try on things that would work for both the company and the employee. Perhaps adaptation of a new bpm would help.
