A Chronicler's Life

Our Little Scientist

Posted by Joshua under life in general

My 5 year old nephew Jacob would like to become a scientist someday. Well, don’t we all wish that too at one point in our child’s lives? Anyway, he was blabbing about how he’ll have his own laboratory someday where he would do all his experiments. He even asked me to buy him flasks and chemicals so he could invent the drug that would cure cancer. Awwww, my nephew is such a sweetie. I promised him that if he does become a scientist someday, I would gift him lab ovens to support his cause. And that made him sport a big grin the entire day.

Personal Touch

Posted by Joshua under life in general

I am always fascinated with flowers. I’m pretty sure that if I’m not allergic to it because of asthma, I would have learned and studied the art of floral arrangement already. That was always been one of my greatest frustrations until I’ve heard of online floral arrangements. I was so ecstatic! Actually, I’ve been jumping up and down. I never really imagined that it could happen someday. So now, every time I’d like to send flowers to any one, I can virtually arrange it already and put my personal touch before having it delivered. I feel so happy every time I get compliments that they like my arrangements. Thank you to whoever made this amazing thing possible.

Never Again

Posted by Joshua under life in general

My mischievous princess have grown very fast right before our very eyes. She’ll be turning 4 soon. But she’s still our little “home wrecker.” I don’t know what’s with her hands or feet that every time she touches or stands on anything it either breaks up or breaks down. Even our newly bought kitchen stainless steel sink was not spared. One evening she asked her Nanny to brush her teeth inside the sink while standing in it. From our room, we heard a loud crash and clanging and banging of metal followed. That’s when we all rushed out too see what happened and there we saw a ghostly pale Nanny and a shock toddler staring at the sink that just gave way. Well, of course we had to replace the damaged sink and never again did my naughty princess ask to brush her teeth like she used too. She’s using a step stool now. ;)

What A Real Surprise!

Posted by Joshua under life in general

I find it funny that last Christmas hubby and I gifted each other a timepiece. I gave him a titanium watch and in return he bought me a stainless steel watch. We even closed our eyes and gave our gifts at the same time and when we were done opening it, we both laughed because we have same presents, hahaha! Well, it wasn’t exact same of course coz he got me a ladies and a steel watch. Now, that’s what I call a real surprise, hehehehe!

Short But Meaningful

Posted by Joshua under life in general

Last month my closests friends and I went to explore Hongkong. It was our first time to set foot in that country and what can I say, it was pretty impressive. There’s traffic but more bearable than the horrible traffic in my homeland. The entire place was so clean that you won’t be able to see a single dust anyhere. We were amazed by it’s beautiful skyline and tall and structured steel building too. We had a blast even if we just stayed for 3 days and 2 nights. The trip may be short but the memories it created will be forever etched in our minds and hearts.

Man Boy

Posted by Joshua under life in general

Just one more year and our little boy will bid goodbye to College already. I’m talking about my nephew. Time seemed to have zoomed past us and before we know it, he’s already a young man ready to leave school and embark on a journey of his chosen field. It was just like yesterday when I still used to buy him Teethers, Pacifiers and Wrist Rattles and now soon he’ll be asking me to buy him cufflinks for men to complete his ensemble for the Graduation Ball. But no matter how old he’s going to get, to me he will and forever be my baby boy.

Cash Less, Worry Less

Posted by Joshua under life in general

In just a few hours I’ll be leaving the country to have a 3 day vacation with friends at Hongkong. The first thing that comes to mind when this country is being spoke of is…SHOPPING! Yep, I plan to do that and more of course. But since my no. 1 reason for going there is the former one, I plan to shop til I drop. I’m not really worried that I might run out of cash because Thank God for electronic payments! It’s the easiest and fastest way to pay. It is cashless and trouble free. I’ve got a feeling that the “and more” that I plan to do aside from shopping will include a lot of…shopping still, hahaha! I hope hubby won’t get mad if he sees me with armloads of paper bags when I get home though.

You’re In Good Hands

Posted by Joshua under life in general

It feels good to hark back to the good old days sometimes especially after a long day from work and I want to relax. I usually start with listening to the radio then when the soothing music begins playing, I try to recall the fun times that I had with my brothers when we were just little kids. I remember this one time when they were in near desperation already to teach me how to play baseball. I was too afraid to try it out at first that I don’t even want to lift even a single finger to start playing the game. You see, I’m the only girl in a brood of six and as a child I always thought of baseball as a little rough for a girl like me but my brothers proven me wrong.

Though baseball is really quite a forceful sport but if you’ve got the right equipment, you can start seeing the fun side of this game. My brothers saw to it that I was always properly geared before every game. They don’t want anything bad to happen to me that’s why they made sure that I’d be comfortable and very much protected from any mishaps that could happen while the game is on. My brothers took care of me very well and when I felt really secure and confident already, I started enjoying the sport because I know that I’m safe when my brothers are around.

It’s actually the same thing in picking your baseball equipment specifically Batting Gloves because you are going to use your hands a lot in this game. It is important to choose something that fits you very well, comfortable enough and of course durable. When you have this in mind you’ll know that your hands are safe from any injury that might happen. You can buy these kinds of gloves only at Franklin Sports. It’s the only sports company that would make you worry-less and have fun more with their amazing sport equipments.

Visit it now and own one of the most incredible batting gloves ever. I guarantee that you are in good hands with Franklin Sports.

It Came Back Naturally

Posted by Joshua under life in general

When I was about five or six years old, we had a homemade cannon called “bungbung. It was made from different types of scrap metals and a loud bang is produced by mixing calcium carbide plus water. And if you are any near this thing it is either you’ll get deaf because of the loud noise or you’d come flying across the other side because of its strong force. The latter one was what happened to me and even worst. As I was watching the calcium carbide melt inside the cannon, my elder brother Jeff lighted the cannon and “BUNG!” there I go flying and almost fell off the garden stairs with no brows and eyelashes. Good thing that I was startled by the blast that I closed my eyes coz if not I could have been blind forever. Sadly, during that time there are no eyelash growth productsyet so I had to wait for my brows and eyelashes to grow all back naturally.

Twin Blessings

Posted by Joshua under life in general

The twins have finally came home after a week in the hospital. I forgot to mention that my SIL have given birth a month earlier than expected. Thank God that both of my nieces are very healthy and oh so adorably cutie-patooties though they are just 35 weeks. Can’t wait for them to grow a little older so I could start playing with them already. I’ve a million things in mind to teach them. Even as basic as teaching them to brush their teeth while standing on two step stool and the likes. Anyway, since they are just 8 days old, I should start thinking of activities that would suit their age. Maybe I’d ask them to teach me how to play the sleeping game coz that’s all they do now, sleep and drink milk.
